WHATSAPP is developing a handy new feature – but it carries some risk.
Leaked details show a brand new companion mode could be coming soon.
It would allow you to link your WhatsApp account to another iPhone or Android device.
This is great if you want to look at chats on a secondary smartphone without needing an active internet connection on your main handset.
Early screenshots have been revealed by WABetaInfo, a website notorious for revealing upcoming WhatsApp features.
It's not clear when – and if – owners Meta plan to make it available, but their latest move suggests Companion Mode is beyond an exploratory idea.
