Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley, 62, stars alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton du Beke on the hit ballroom and Latin dance competition. Shirley, who was born in Wallasey in Merseyside, began dancing at the age of seven and won Professional Latin at Blackpool Dance Festival in 1983 with her dance partner British Ballroom Champion, Nigel Tiffany.

She stopped competing in dance competitions in 1996, becoming a dance coach and judge for ballroom and Latin American competitions.

Shirley lived in Los Angeles where she put her home on the market for £2.1million.

The California pad included a swimming pool, a French-inspired bedroom with gilt furniture and a tastefully decorated kitchen with an island.

Shirley’s fans got a glimpse inside her home when she appeared on the Channel 4 show Celebrity Snoop Dogs.

The 62-year-old lives with her dog Charlie and her boyfriend Danny Taylor in a beautiful home that was built in the eighties.

The property has a black front door with potted topiary bushes on either side.

The home also has large windows which allow plenty of natural light to flood in.

The hallway has paved, wooden floors, cosy chairs and a chandelier. The living room also has wooden floors and a sweeping staircase which leads up to the first floor.

The living area includes a pale blue velvet armchair and a grand dining table with white, upholstered chairs.

A large wooden mirror can be seen on the wall with a heavy, wooden sideboard underneath it.

In the bedroom, Shirley has an impressive walk-in wardrobe with white drawers and shelving with all her shoes on.

The wardrobe is long and narrow with every inch taken up by fancy dresses, shoes and clothing items.

In another section of the bedroom, there is a pink fluffy rug, more wooden flooring and a mirrored dressing table with perfumes and creams on.

In the lounge there’s a large leather L-shaped sofa with gold, cream and grey patterned cushions on it.

The kitchen has off-white cabinets, marble counters, a double oven and built-in appliances.

All of the rooms in the home are open-plan with underfloor heating, lots of light and high ceilings.

The home has an American theme running through it with lots of exposed wood and textiles.
