Top tech products to look out for

Amazon tech

  • Amazon devices discounted – shop here

Amazon's own lines of tech are usually discounted in every sales period, including Kindles, Fire Tablets, Echo Speakers and Fire TV Sticks.

The devices are usually at their cheapest during sale periods, although if you're unsure about buying now, you can always wait until the next sale for another good offer.

Apple iPhones

Apple is usually immune to sales, with the tech giant not taking part in Black Friday – instead offering gift cards for customers instead of discounts.

But individual products such as the iPhone are often offered cheaper by suppliers such as Mobiles.co.uk and Fonehouse.

On Black Friday, you could get the iPhone XR with a whopping 100GB of data and NO upfront cost for just £36 a month, it's worth keeping an eye out.

Our tips for finding the best deals this January

IT might be tempting to dive in and snap up LOADS of items in January, but here’s how you can guarantee you’re getting a good deal.

PREPARE Research the items you want to buy and find out the cheapest price. Websites like PriceSpy, PriceHistory and CamelCamelCamel will give you historical data on prices so you can see how much you should pay.

GET FOLLOWING Follow your favourite shops on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and sign up to its deals newsletter to get the latest on any offers. We post the best deals in our Sun Money FB group too.

EARN CASHBACK Check websites likeQuidco and TopCashback BEFORE you place your order. Cashback websites PAY you to shop. All you have to do is click through their links and the money is added to your online account, usually within 14 days.

CHECK FOR CODES Take a look at The Sun Vouchers, and see if you can get extra savings with discount codes.

  • Dyson deals – find out more

Dyson make some of the best vacuums on the market, as well as awesome hair care products, including the Supersonic hairdryer and the Airwrap.

The vacuum cleaners are usually available at discounted rates from most of the big retailers.

Fitbits and exercise trackers

Fitbits are often discounted in the sales, but it's well worth shopping around before you buy as different retailers will have a range of prices on the same items.

You could also look at buying cheaper alternatives to Fitbit which can often be just as good, such as models by Garmin, Huawei and other cheap models you can spot on Amazon.

Samsung tech

Unlike Apple, Samsung ran a big sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, including some of its most popular TVs, Phones and other gadgets.

Samsung is definitely one that's worth shopping around for though, as plenty of other retailers stock its tech at better prices.

TVs are often worth a look in the sales as manufacturers usually release new models in Spring.

That means that by the winter the prices have dropped to their lowest point, as retailers look to clear out stock and make room for newer models.

White goods

Fridge freezers, cookers, microwaves and kettles can be expensive, so it makes sense to buy a new one while the prices are low.
