Ivana Trump passed away in her Upper East Side, Manhattan apartment at the age of 73.
The skier, socialite, and ex-wife of Donald Trump – who was afraid to take the elevator so always took the stairs – died of blunt impact injuries after the fatal fall, leaving her three children with her former husband in mourning.
She left behind an estate of $32 million, and in it was her New York townhouse, currently listed for sale for $26.5M New York townhouse.
However, the property, which is an 8,725-square-foot, five-story mansion, has yet to attract a buyer.
The house, listed with Douglas Elliman, is where the three eldest Trump children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric, were raised.
The property sits on East 64th Street between Madison and Fifth Avenue and was bought by Ivana in 1992 in the midst of her divorce.
When Ivana bought the property it wasn’t a home but a dentist’s office. But the socialite has a glamorous vision for the space.
When renovated the home featured a large living room and piano room, as well as a pink marble bathroom and a gold-embossed fireplace in the master bedroom.
The living room was leopard print and the home was decorated with Chinese murals.
Ivana had a fight to get her hands on the money for the home from her ex-husband.
Ivana should have received $ 4 million in a divorce settlement, more than enough to purchase the then $2.47 million, but after Ivana wrote a novel detailing a high-profile divorce Trump was reluctant to pay out.
In the end, Her lawyers were successful in securing the down payment on the home.
