How to download video from Facebook – an easy guide

YOU can download videos from Facebook and save them to your device to watch whenever you want, even if you don't have WiFi access.

It's easy to do and we've rounded up the steps below.

How to download video from Facebook on your computer

Find the video you want to download and click the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the post.

Then click 'copy link' and copy the link that pops up.

Paste it into a new tab and change 'www' to 'mbasic'.

Once you've done this, press the enter key on your keyboard.

The screen should change and you then need to right click on the desired video and click 'Open Link In New Tab'.

In the new tab you should just see the video on its own with no Facebook likes or comments.

Then, right click on the video again and select 'Save video As' and save it to your computer.

Downloading Facebook video on your smartphone is possible but it's a bit more complicated and would involve downloading a third party app that you have to give your Facebook login to.

It's probably better to use the desktop method.
