How to block someone on WhatsApp
If you want to block someone on WhatsApp, just follow these simple steps.
- Open WhatsApp.
- Find the person you want to block and open the chat.
- Tap their profile name at the top.
- Scroll to the bottom and look for Block with their name.
Blocking an unknown number is very similar to the process above.
Click on the chat with the unknown number in the app.

It's also possible to report them if they're being a nuisance.
How to unblock someone on WhatsApp
Here's what you need to do…
- Open WhatsApp.
- Tap Settings.
- Find Privacy.
- Go to Blocked.
- Here you'll see a full list of everyone you've blocked.
- Tap the name of the person you wish to unlock.
- Scroll down and tap Unlock.
Don't forget, you can choose to block the person again at any time if you need to.
