Voyagers data has led to a number of exciting scientific questions. Most excitingly, it has confirmed that Uranus is the most massive planet in our Solar System. In 1980, it was estimated that the planet had a mass around 29. The Voyager 1 spacecraft was able to measure that Uranus weight at the time was 26. 5 x 106 tonnes, or a tad over 23 times Earths mass For comparison, it is estimated that the Earth has a core with an estimated mass of about 4. 95 x 1027 kg, and that in this core is a total of around 50 x 1010 kg of the stuff that makes up the rest of the Earth.
