Lynsey Queen of Clean posted “the simplest way to remove a top from a diffuser” on her Instagram account, wowing fans who had struggled with the difficult task.

She posted the simple hack, suitable for oil diffusers with tricky plastic stoppers, to her Instagram account.

The TV regular, who recently shared her guide to decluttering your home in an Express.co.uk column, wrote: “As you guys loved this one so much when I shared in stories I felt that it deserved a space on the grid.

“No more cut fingers or painful teeth.”

In the video, Lynsey takes the metal top off her new diffusers.

She then uses a corkscrew to remove the plastic plug like one would a corkscrew.

Lynsey disposes of the plastic plug and then sets about adding the reeds to her new diffuser.

Former This Morning presenter Ruth Langsford was a fan of the hack.

She commented on the post “genius!!” with three clapping hands emojis.
