Mrs Hinch, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, rose to fame several years ago when she started to share unusual cleaning tips and tricks. Now with more than four million Instagram followers, the influencer’s fans regularly take to their own Facebook groups to share cleaning hacks.
On one such Facebook group, one person wanted to know how to clean a toilet.
Stains – usually limescale – can develop in the toilet bowl, especially in hard water areas.
Jenny Wood wrote: “Best way to remove stubborn stains under toilet rim and in bowl.”
Fortunately, other Mrs Hinch fans had a plethora of tips and tricks to offer.
One product was popular among cleaning enthusiasts: Black Harpic.
This product easily gets rid of both limescale and mould, according to Mrs Hinch fans.
Emma Smith commented: “Black Harpic brings it white with no effort.”
Jeannette Boxall Nee-Allchin wrote: “Viakal is good for stubborn patches under rim (pour neat on sponge and wipe around rim. Leave for a few minutes and then flush). Black Harpic good.”

Other tips included using dishwasher tablets.
Edrina Briscoe Conway wrote: “Dishwasher tablet. Just discovered this today. Game changer.”

As for natural cleaning methods, there were a few tips to choose from.
Linda Sharkie said: “Coca cola on kitchen roll, lay it around the bowl and under the rim. Do not flush the kitchen roll. Remove it and bin it. Put dishwasher tablet to get the bottom of pan clean.”

Claire McLeish advised using a mix of vinegar and baking soda to clean the toilet.
She said: “Vinegar and bicarbonate soda overnight. Tape the hole inside toilet so water doesn’t disappear.”
This mixture can be used to clean various areas and surfaces around the house and gets rid of dirt quickly and easily.
The ingredients are also much cheaper and better for the planet than chemical products.
