The Staffordshire-based family attraction is offering families a free stay and play for those with someone celebrating their birthday on August 15, 2021. The popular Drayton Manor Hotel will be marking its 10-year anniversary this month.

In celebration of the special milestone, the park is giving away a limited number of overnight stays and park entry to lucky guests who share the same birthday.

The hotel, which first opened to the public in August 2011, is located just a few minutes’ walk away from the entrance to the popular theme park.

It contains 150 bedrooms, including 15 Thomas & Friends™ themed rooms, featuring the park’s much-loved character.

The hotel is also equipped with two bars, two sublime restaurants, a relaxing lounge, three large conference rooms for functions and exhibitions, and a stunning wedding facility for up to 400 guests.

To kick off the birthday festivities in style, the family destination will be offering a number of its popular Stay and Play packages.

This includes an overnight stay in the hotel, full English breakfast, and theme park tickets for the whole family.

The free stays are available in one of the hotel’s spacious family rooms.

The family rooms can accommodate up to two adults and two children, as long as one member of the group has the birthdate on August 15.

To be in with a chance of bagging a room and tickets, applicants celebrating their birthdays this Sunday just need to visit the website between August 15 and 18 and enter their details.

Winners will be required to provide proof of their date of birth to redeem their free stay and entry tickets.

As well as relaxing in a complimentary hotel room, lucky guests will also get access to the hotel’s evening entertainment on weekends and during Staffordshire holidays, as well as guest appearances at breakfast from the Fat Controller himself.

To extend the celebrations, guests will be able to spend a fun-filled day at the park, to enjoy the 100+ rides and attractions, 15-acre zoo and Europe’s only Thomas Land, home to 25 Thomas & Friends™ themed attractions.

Sea farers young-and-old will be able to enjoy the newly launched Adventure Cove, a nautical themed area for the whole family to explore.

Featuring three new rides and attractions guests will get the chance to take an exhilarating journey through a cartoon-style fishing port on the all-new River Rapids, soar through the sky and feel the ocean breeze on the Wave Swinger, or scale new heights on the Tidal Towers adventure rope bridges and slides.

William Bryan, managing director at Drayton Manor Park, said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating a special birthday for Drayton Manor Hotel this month, which has provided families with so many fun and happy memories over the last 10 years.

“We wanted to mark this special milestone by sharing the festivities with anyone lucky enough to be celebrating a birthday on Sunday, August 15, giving them the chance to come and enjoy a fun-filled stay at the hotel and a family day out in the park, on the house.

“We expect birthday revellers will be lining up to bag themselves a free Stay and Play package and look forward to welcoming the lucky winners to join in with the celebrations this season.”

Drayton Manor Park welcomes over one million visitors per year, making it one of the UK’s premier family tourist attractions.

Open to the public since 1950, the park was converted from an area of derelict land into a multi award-winning family attraction by George and Vera Bryan OBE.

The Park was family run and managed over a 70-year period until 2020.
