At COP you will have the opportunity to ask questions to Ahmad-Reza-Abbas, at least the first one, during your lunch break. This is the second time you had this interview Chapter 2-A: Global Warming and the Environment DO NOT EDIT. Well, this is a subject that gets a little complicated when you start to discuss how it was caused, and how it could possibly affect you personally. So, what do you mean this gets complicated, Mr. Well that depends on what part of the planet youre in, and how much you understand about the subject. And how much youve done it in the past, So, what we need to be talking about is, what exactly is Global Warming. Global Warming, or Global Warming, is the theory that some or all causes, such as volcanoes, that are not connected to the sun can bring about changes in the average temperature of the earths surface. The results of these changes can range from minor changes, to major changes. Well, this varies between different areas of the world. Some say the changes occur because of the buildup of gases in the atmosphere. Some say theyre caused by the movement of glaciers. Some say its caused by changes in the amount of solar energy reaching the earth. However, the most commonly accepted theory states that all of this could be caused by the changes within the earths atmosphere. Some say the changes occur because of the buildup of gases, like methane, in the earths upper atmosphere. Some say theyre caused by the movement of ice sheets. Some say theyre caused by changes in the amount of solar energy reaching the earth. The earths atmosphere is made up of many elements, such as nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, ozone, and others. Well, if there were volcanic eruptions or ice sheets, they would cause large amounts of these gases to be released into the atmosphere – and this would result in an increase in average temperatures, and in turn.
