Alex Whitecroft, Head of Design at I Want Wallpaper said going for black wallpaper is actually one of the boldest colour choices to use for interiors today.
The wallpaper pro said black is often “misunderstood and misaligned” with many people thinking it’s “drab and one dimensional”.
He continued: “But that couldn’t be further from the truth.
“Black represents luxury, elegance, tradition and prestige.
“It can be both decadent and edgy in equal measure, and can pair well with other design elements to create some truly extraordinary.
“From geometric patterns to gold accents, it can be combined to amazing effect.
“Black wallpaper, in contrast to black paint, offers a wealth of interior options, adding layers of depth and texture in a variety of ways which can make your interiors really stand out.”
