Ana Gasteyer, Kristen Wiig, Will Forte Among Line-Up For Groundlings’ Motion Picture & Television Fund Benefit ‘One Night Only’

Ana Gasteyer, Kristen Bell, Kristen Wiig, and Will Forte are among the performers scheduled to take part in One Night Only, a Groundlings musical improv show to benefit the Motion Picture & Television Fund.

The show, set for Thursday, October 26 in Los Angeles, will be a “fully-realized production of a well-known Broadway musical,” the catch being that the performers won’t know what show or their roles until 24 hours before curtain. “The audience finds out what the show is when the curtain rises on the most terrified group of actors you will ever see,” the improv company says.

All proceeds and donations go to the MPTF supporting below-the-line workers impacted by the strikes.

“These strikes have taken a terrible toll on our amazing crews, and it isn’t over yet,” said Leeds in a statement. “Even with the WGA strike ending, most crew members won’t be able to start work again until the SAG-AFTRA deal is ratified. Even then, many will be fighting to survive as they wait for productions to start back up. With One Night Only, we hope we can help as many people as possible, and at the same time give our audience an exciting, once-in-a-lifetime, and possibly insane night at the theater.”

One Night Only will take place at the Glorya Kaufman Performing Arts Center at Vista Del Mar, and is presented by The Groundlings in association with SenovvA Inc, directed by Andrew Leeds, and produced by Beth Wishnie, Joanna Leeds, Andrew Leeds, Clifford Murray, and Michelle Noh. Wilkie Ferguson oversees musical direction.
